Michaela is a Wellington based artist with an affinity for figurative and expressive work. Her work with pattern and texture combines to create her own style.
She enjoys combining different ideas including figurative, nature, pattern, colour and texture combined with her use of acrylic, ink and glaze to complete her finished works.
Michaela starts with a pencil drawn sketch on paper, then transfers that image to canvas and through layering, pattern and colour gradually builds up the work through thoughts and emotions.
